AIMS: To investigate the agreement of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) determination between 51Cr-ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (51Cr-EDTA) plasma clearance (GFREDTA) and 99mTc-diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (99mTc-DTPA) plasma clearance (GFRDTPA), the Gates 99mTc-DTPA renographic method (GFRGates) and the serum creatinine Chronic Kidney Disease Epidemiology Collaboration equation (CKD-EPI, GFRSCr) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Multiple sample methodThe plasma clearance of 51 Cr-EDTA for the entire group of cats ranged between 0.4 and 8.7 ml/min/kg when normalised for body weight (mean AE SD, 3.7 AE 2.5 ml/min/kg).The mean AE SD for the normal cats yielded to 2.4 AE 1.3 ml/min/kg. The mean clearance value for the hyperthyroid cats AE SD was 4.3 AE 1.9 ml/min/kg.
